Alana got her roots from acting, starting in elementary school. What makes her particle journey to acting so unique is that her experience was rooted within the educational system. Growing up in an area where the arts weren't supported by her school or the area (which completely changed once she went to college),  she often learned to create from nothing. Resulting in her adapting a resourceful, crafty & collaborate approach to her craft as an artist.

After having studied acting for four years at the University of Rhode Island, within their BFA program, Alana is a classically trained actor who has experienced & achieved a diverse acting resume. Check out her resume!

A URI Leadership Institute Alum & Peer Leader, Alana chose to claim and understand her leadership qualities through exploring a leadership minor while pursuing her BFA at The University of Rhode Island. The knowledge she gained from those experiences set her up to become a finalist of the 2021 ASPIRE Leadership competition while  participating in KCACTF (a regional theatre competition). 

It is with these experiences, as well as Alana's early years of being dance captain of her High schools Show choir, that has allowed Alana to flourish into the powerful & compassionate leader she is today.

While studying to receive her BFA in Theatre, Alana discovered directing and fell in love! She then decided to dive deep into directing and it has been a match made in heaven. Being able to utilize both her creative and analytical sides to herself allowed for Alana to cultivate truly dynamic & power plays on stage.

Having been what choreographer Nicole Spear would call a "mover" her whole life, Alana was dancing before she could even walk. Later she would going on to win a record breaking amount of judges awards for her undeniable stage presence throughout her career in middle school & high school Showchoir competitions. All the while taking on the leadership role as dance captain of her high school's Showchoir during her last two years. 

On top of being a magnificent mover who is magnetic when performing, Alana is also a choreographer. She has choreographed for middle school & college dance groups/projects, as well as creating her own individual choregraphed routines for shows.
